Two Summer League games were all Julian Strawther needed to show that he's ready for bigger and better things in his second season with the Denver Nuggets. The six-foot-six wing out of Gonzaga averaged a League-leading 28.5 points to go with 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and a steal in two games for Denver in his second Summer League campaign in Las Vegas mid-July, shooting 42.5% from the field including 40.9% on three-pointers. As a rookie for the Nuggets last season, Strawther, the 29th pick in the 2023 draft, got off to a strong season start and appeared to likely be on course for a meaningful spot in his new team's regular rotation.
