Local game goes global

Dunedin-made game Abiotic Factor becomes global hit on Steam.

A game developed by a small team in Dunedin has become a global bestseller - and it isn't even finished yet.

Deepfield Games launched a demo version of its game Abiotic Factor just days ago and it's already being played by thousands - and earning millions.

With more than 10,000 games released annually on gaming's global marketplace, Steam, standing out from the crowd is not easy.

But Abiotic Factor has done just that, leaping straight to fifth place on Steam's best seller list within days of its launch.

That makes it one of the most popular games on Earth right now.

Join us at NZGDC to hear first-hand from the creators of Abiotic Factor as they talk about their game dev journey!
