In The New Zealand Herald today, our CEO, Miles Hurrell, speaks about how Fonterra is targeting high-value dairy products globally. “We’re already seeing the enormous potential of the foodservice business as it continues to grow in China and other parts of Asia. As China’s economy continues to grow, demand for dairy will not only increase but also change. Our ingredients and foodservice brands, alongside the Fonterra corporate brand, are well known to our customers and partners offshore – including China’s Premier, who Fonterra recently hosted in Auckland. What possibly surprised Premier Li the most, when I showed him around a product showcase at Fonterra’s headquarters in Auckland during his state visit in June, was the number of consumer-branded products in China that use our ingredients.” – Miles Hurrell, CEO Fonterra. Meet Tim Hodgson 👋 This year, he was selected for the Aotearoa Circle’s Rangatahi Advisory Panel. Established to ensure the perspectives and voices of young New Zealanders are heard and incorporated into the discussions of Aotearoa Circle, the panel consists of rangatahi (young people) who are passionate about sustainability - ensuring any decisions made are inclusive, relevant, and effective for future generations. “I’m excited to be selected as a member of the Panel and am looking forward to doing my part in advocating sustainability issues, challenges, and opportunities that are important to New Zealand’s future generations. I'm also looking forward to further building my understanding of environmental and governance issues outside of my professional experience.” – Tim Hodgson, Environmental Engineer/Technologist at Fonterra. Our dedicated Fonterra team in Australia spent a day volunteering at Foodbank Victoria, packing the equivalent of 23,076 meals for families facing food insecurity. Together with Foodbank, they packed 425 hampers filled with produce and pantry staples, totalling more than 14,938 kilograms. Fonterra Oceania has been working with Foodbank for nearly 20 years. Last year alone, this partnership delivered 325,000 meals to people in need and contributed 250,000 litres of milk for Foodbank Australia's National Milk Program. We focus our community support around areas where we know it will have the greatest impact, providing quality nutrition to those who need it most. We're proud to support Foodbank and continuing to make a meaningful difference in our communities. #DairyNutrition #CommunityGiving #GoodTogether #Ausdairy #Foodbank

This week I had the pleasure of swapping the keyboard for the pellet driver, at Foodbank Victoria, where we took our awesome Fonterra Australia graduates and Richmond office members to do our bit for our local communities. Fonterra has a longstanding partnership with Foodbank, donating 100s of 1000s of litres of fresh milk, and other dairy products, each year for those in need. It was awesome to get involved, packing orders and seeing our dairy products head out to Victorian communities. Between the 8 of us, we packed over 23,000 meals! A fun, feel good day out #DoingGoodTogether. (Sadly, Dominic Thompson and I didn't take out the winning partnership for most orders packed, but we did give Verstappen a run for his money on laps around the warehouse, and absolutely made pole position for the most symmetrical looking pellets - satisfaction enough! 😆) 🚗 William Parker crowned the Foodbank Fairy overall! 👑 🧚♂️ Great work team - Laura Gatenby Cynthea Maugueret Jordan Yap Cameron Krause William Parker Dominic Thompson and Sophie-Rose Peters. 🙌
