They remind me of each other in the sense that the there's a mystery connected to what happened in the past, which is told in bits and pieces throughout until you get the full picture. Same for characters' inner motivations, which look different at the surface until the story digs deeper into their past and current desires. There's also an emphasis on found family, and both manga have very well defined and important supporting characters. They also start slowly, but when the story starts to unravel everything makes sense and you can't put it down. If you loved one of these, chances are you'll love the other.

Both series involve an academy or institution that the main character has to endure. Tribulations and story events always prevent a peaceful school experience, and both have main characters thrust into a fictional world that they have extensive knowledge of. I am not sure if "Demon King of the Royal Class" is actually a harem, but I do think they both fit in a harem category. A lot of girls interact with both main characters. Both series are extremely good, and I don't know which is better, but I do like how "Demon King of the Royal Class" builds up its important events and the ability that the main character has is such an unique and cool ability.

The Extra's Academy Survival Guide
Both series have the main character know the events of the future, which is common in most series that have regression or an isekai that involve a game that the main character knows. Both main characters have knowledge of the game that they are playing, and they both want the best outcome of their stories. Both have harems, where the characters that they save feel affection for the main character. The main characters grow and develop, and they have enjoyable and entertaining personalities. The side characters have their own growth and notable moments, where the main character sometimes rely on the side characters to progress further. Both have interesting plots and can provide a great deal of fun while reading. I will say that The Extra's Academy Survival Guide is better in my opinion, but both series are a good baseline 7 or above.

Manga: Minami no Teiou

Minami no Teiou
Both manga deal with the various bureaucratic processes/loopholes each respective series' protagonists take on to achieve their goals. Two sides of the same coin, a loan shark and a black swindler (Kurosagi), in a way both series complement each other since Kurosagi sees Kurosaki take on different roles to avenge people who've been swindled, and so does Minami no Teiou with Ginjiro Manda's schemes involving acting on behalf of the people he lent money to, though the former usually dresses the part. From what I've read both characters deal with unscrupulous/immoral foes but differ in how they operate since Kurosaki prefers to work as a figure shrouded in mystery while Ginjiro is a well-known personality in the underworld of delinquents and yakuza. One buys information about other swindlers and carries out punishment while the other relies heavily on intimidation and underhanded tactics to get back his money + interest even going as far as taking the funeral kouden (condolence money) from one of his victims. If you like one and wish for a different take on con artists you may want to check out the other. Please note Minami no Teiou's translation has eight chapters translated so far as of writing this recommendation.

I don't think that anyone who has read both series will argue that 'Douka Ore wo Houtteoite Kure: Nazeka Bocchi no Owatta Koukou Seikatsu wo Kanojo ga Kaeyou to Shitekuru' isn't 'heavily inspired' by oregairu. It doesn't only wear its influence on its sleeve, it is fully coated in it. This 'influence' is so blatantly obvious that the other aspects of the series kinda fall to the wayside. Some of the character interactions are passable and even fun in Douka, but nothing really comes close to Oregairu. If you somehow haven't read Oregairu yet you are in a for a treat. Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi
The manga have a similar vibe, and I don't know if it's only me. Both of them have a similar beginning: a high school boy who learns martial arts and continues to learn throughout the manga to fight increasingly stronger opponents. In Ranma 1/2, the protagonist, Ranma Saotome, is cursed to transform into a girl when splashed with cold water and returns to being a boy with hot water. This adds a unique twist to his martial arts training and daily life. On the other hand, in Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, the protagonist, Kenichi Shirahama, starts as a weak and timid high school student who gains confidence and strength through rigorous martial arts training at the Ryozanpaku dojo. Both stories emphasize personal growth, perseverance, and the importance of never giving up despite challenges. The main characters face various adversaries, each more powerful than the last, which drives them to continuously improve their skills. Both of them have the same love pattern, a slow romance where there is love but it does not result in something official. In Ranma 1/2, Ranma's relationship with Akane Tendo is filled with comedic misunderstandings and romantic tension, culminating in chapter 407 with an event that can be interpreted as a wedding. In Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, Kenichi's relationship with Miu Furinji develops gradually, with subtle hints of affection and mutual support. By the final chapters, there is a strong indication that they have become a couple. Additionally, both manga feature a diverse cast of characters who contribute to the protagonists' development and add depth to the story. The mix of humor, action, and romance in both series creates a captivating narrative that resonates with readers.

Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen
If you like Spy x Family you will love Yozakura family. The story has more depth and better written, each character is unique and has better world building in my opinion. Although it might seem like a kids manga, it does have a serious tone when it needs, the action scenes are top tier, the comedy is gold, the relationship between Taiyo & Mutsumi is so adorabel and sweet. I can see why Spy x family is more popular, mostly due to the fact the main 3 characters appeal to a wider audience such as Yor appealing to both boys and adult men, Loid to teenage girls and woman and Anya to children or parents. Compared to Yozakura family is mostly teenagers it might not appeal to a wider audience but that´s where you are wrong the character development in some of characters far exceeds Spy x family and unlike Spy x family (for the moment) we can see an age progression of the characters. I like Spy x family, but when a friend recommended me "Yozakura Family" it completely changed my view of thinking Spy x family was the best spy animanga. It is trully worth a read. It´s become one of my favourite mangas!!! Plus the anime has just come out which is a plus!

While the MC in Giji Harem is not popular with girls, the MC in Yugami is not interested in people in general. The female leads in both series end up spending a lot of time together with the MC. While the plot is totally different, they give similar slice of life vibe and are fun to read.

The stories take place in the inner palace and the MLs have a hidden identity in both works. Plotwise, I wouldn't compare Apothecary diaries with AMMWC since there are hardly any similarities aside from the above two, but it is worth checking out both mangas. The protagonists are entertaining, likeable and well-written, the plot is exciting. As of now, Apothecary diaries is a more complex story with politics involved, while MM is an easier read full of hilarious moments.

Both of the storys are both about delinquents. Hectopascal is more about revenge, the mc was fighting against the gang nexus and got drained down because of court settlement payments, but after 2 years someone finds him to fight nexus with him (and finances arent a problem anymore because the guy runs a big corporate) DesignatedBully is about a Guy named Dajun that gets hired to go give a school with bullys to beat them and make lessen bullys on the school. The story starts with fighting and sometimes other routs (the same with early Hanlim Gym about the drugs) and later the story starts to differ and quit the vicious circle Simelarities: 1 High School based 2 Big Company subsidizes the mc 3 fighting 4 delinquents 5 fight hierarchy 6 underworld 7 illegal money making

Spy x Family and Sakamoto Days are two popular manga that share several intriguing similarities, making both of them highly engaging reads. First, both manga excel in their unique genre combinations. Spy x Family masterfully blends action, comedy, and slice-of-life elements within the family sphere, while Sakamoto Days focused on action and comedy. Both manga deliver thrilling yet entertaining stories with a brilliant touch of humor. Second, the protagonists in both manga have fascinating and unusual backgrounds. Loid Forger from Spy x Family is a spy who must disguise himself as the father of a fake family, whereas Sakamoto Taro from Sakamoto Days is a former hitman now living as a peaceful convenience store owner. Both characters strive to hide their violent pasts while leading more normal and peaceful lives. Furthermore, the character relationships in both manga add to the story's appeal. In Spy x Family, the dynamic between Loid, Yor (his wife who is actually an assassin), and Anya (their adopted daughter with mind-reading ability) provides constant emotional depth and humor. In Sakamoto Days, the interactions between Sakamoto, his co-worker Shin (a telepath), and other characters around them create delightful and entertaining interactions.
