in camera discussion

in camera discussion

A component of a formal disciplinary proceeding—e.g., by the General Medical Council (GMC) against a doctor in the UK whose practice has been formally called into question—in which the decision panel discusses the case and formulates a decision privately (in camera, in chambers) whilst the parties to the case are out of the room.
