Drug Lord

At Tuesday's Senate hearing, Tolentino pointed out that Taiwanese Chen Tiz Zang and four other Chinese drug lords were released during a period when it was prohibited to do so.

"Ang pagbalik ng death penalty sa drug lord ay isang senyales din sa mga nagtatangka pang magpasok ng illegal drugs, mga sindikatong malalaki dito sa ating bansa...Ang gusto natin ipalabas sa kanila na wag na magtangka dito na magoperate dahil pag nahatulan diretso sila sa death penalty," he further explained.

The January statement of the senator (https://edition.cnn.com/2019/02/17/politics/ted-cruz-el-chapo-act-border-wall/index.html) reiterated the idea of leveraging criminally forfeited assets of El Chapo and other murderous drug lords  to "offset the cost of securing our border and make meaningful progress toward delivering on the promises made to the American people." 

He said they instead presented statements from drug lords Co, Hans Tan and Jaybee Sebastian and police official Benjamin Magalong.

In reaction, PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said, "We finally found a Chinese drug lord. He is big.
