We are looking for table leads who can help us with the themes table. If you are attending and want to contribute to being the table lead, please let me know. Also, you can comment in the below comment section.

@karmatosed will be there and we need other helping hands too. Tammie might be a little focused on default themes. So, it might be nice to get leads in all areas, so let’s see who else is around.

3. Updating the team handbook

On July 12th, @poena said in the #themereview channel, ” I would still like there to be a meeting dedicated to updating the team handbook.”

@greenshady added, “Just popping in to say that I think we should have a dedicated meeting for the team handbook and updating it.”

@karmatosed asked, “Is this to make it more aligned to all areas of the theme or is it specifically on ‘theme review’. Because I think we need to do both?”. Tammie added, I think we’re getting a point also we need to consider ‘where’ the default theme process stuff goes. It currently is under the coreCore Core is the set of software required to run WordPress. The Core Development Team builds WordPress..

@kafleg will communicate with the concerned persons and prepare the meeting agenda before finalizing the dedicated meeting.

4. Open Floor

During the open floor, @alexdeborba asked about the accessibilityAccessibility Accessibility (commonly shortened to a11y) refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities. 3. CustomizerCustomizer Tool built into WordPress core that hooks into most modern themes. You can use it to preview and modify many of your site’s appearance settings. upsells in themes

An important question from @dd32 in #themereview channel. Read here.

At the current moment, the themes team checks if the upsells are overused or not. It is a manual process. As a user, if you find any theme doing overuse of upselling, please report the theme or let team reps know. We’ll check it.

4. Review the theme name manually

If you are reviewing the theme and if you see like this, `ERROR: “ABC” currently has 100+ active installations. Please check for name collisions outside of WordPress.org before approval.` please check the theme name manually.

You can Google, ABC WordPress theme, and if you find the theme already existed on another name in any marketplace, ask the theme author to rename the theme and resubmit again.

But, if the theme author is the same, you can ignore it and start reviewing it.
