- We are currently in the WordPress 6.6 release cycle. The WordPress 6.6 RC2 release is scheduled for today, July 2. Please review this post for an update about the Release Candidate A beta version of software with the potential to be a final product, which is ready to release unless significant bugs emerge. Phase.
- Gutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. It uses ‘blocks’ to add richness rather than shortcodes, custom HTML etc. https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/ 18.7 is scheduled for July 3 and will include these issues. This version will NOT be included in the WordPress 6.6 release.
