1. To test one's knowledge about something. Would you mind quizzing me about corporate tax law? I have an exam tomorrow. The teacher stood me up in front of the whole class and quizzed me about the periodic table of elements.
2. To interrogate one about something, especially continually or repeatedly. There are two detectives downstairs quizzing people about suspect of the burglary. Investigators are quizzing the CEO about his involvement in the scheme.
