To refuse to take part in one's work duties as part of an official work stoppage organized by a labor union. Workers of the mine went on strike over what they say are unsafe working conditions and inadequate pay. Talks between the labor union and the construction firm stalled yesterday, so it looks like workers will go on strike again soon. The employees are threatening to go out on strike if we don't increase their wages.
