To band together and confront one as a group or collective effort, typically for some end. The kids ganged up on me and convinced me to get pizza for dinner. A bunch of the bigger kids ganged up on me after school and stole my money. Even if Ted did, in fact, commit the crime, we can't just gang up on him—we need to tell the police!
