Why I cannot add translation of this guide to russian? System said "too many forieng letters"! This is russian! Kantorovich (talk) 03:23, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

This wiki is mostly in English, so the spam filters are set up to disallow too many foreign characters in an edit, but only from new users. Now you've made some other edits by posting this message, you should be able to add the Russian translation. Sorry for the inconvenience. OOeyes (talk) 03:38, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for exlpanation! Kantorovich (talk) 05:44, 11 January 2014 (UTC)

Interlanguage links[]

Hello dudes. I was making some content translation and noticed I am doing something wrong, when people search for the article in English, the original article will not redirect them or show a link for the article in Portuguese. how am I suppose to do this?

The fact: When i translate the page "Character Creation", I named my page "Criação de Personagem/pt" which means "Character Creation" in Portuguese, BUT, then the "Category:PT Translation" is not presenting the link for the article in English because the name of the page is not "Character Creation/pt".

Thank you for help me. -Alf

Hi, and sorry for the delay in responding. The reason the the links don't work to start with is that the other language version wiki is not yet in place (in this case, the Portuguese version of H1Z1 wiki is now fully operational). At first, the keep all the new language versions on the main wiki, until we reach a point where we feel the new language version has enough support to carry one. At that point, a new wiki is created and the interlanguage links are implemented. Once that is done, the adding [[pt:Criação de Personagem]] at the bottom of the Character Creation page in english will link to "Criação de Personagem" on the Portuguese wiki, and similarly, adding [[en:Character Creation]] at the bottom of the Criação de Personagem page on the Portuguese wiki will make the link back to the english verison. — Game widow (talk) 11:59, 30 May 2014 (UTC)

Wiki Separation[]

Hello. I have made a request to admin of my wikipage to create a subdomain for my language (Vietnamese), but 3 days has passed and no one anwser my request. Should I wait more, or should I contact directly to the admins via pm? Its seem like all of the admins are inactive for a long, most of them have no action in nearly a year, and the last recent change of one admin is over 1 month ago. In that case, could anyone can do this work for me? Thank you in advance.
Edit 1: Just to clarify that my translation about the wiki is almost complete (about 90%), all of them are added into VI Translation category. Lauqerm (talk) 23:29, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

Which wiki is this? If you are 90% complete, it would seem to be a no-brainer — Game widow (talk) 01:07, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

I think 90% is a bit of an over-exaggeration, but a pretty significant amount of content is translated (500 pages at the moment). -Xbony2, TriMaster (talk) 08:59, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
There are 1350 articles, 500 of them is my, 362 of them is "data page" that I dont think it is need to be translated. So except about 20 pages that are about lore that need more time to translate but have absolutely nothing to do about the gameplay itself, yes, I could say that I have translate 90% of them and even add some page that only for my language. Lauqerm (talk) 11:28, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, the data pages are the same in both languages I suppose, although they will probably have to be copied over to the new wiki. -Xbony2, TriMaster (talk) 21:03, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
So back to the main thing, if the admin of my main wiki is absent, does anyone can do the separate for me? Lauqerm (talk) 23:29, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Game widow can :P and only her and other Gamepedia staff, since admins cannot make new wikis as far as I'm aware (although any admin+ has import rights I believe). -Xbony2, TriMaster (talk) 11:05, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, I hope this can be done asap. Please notice me if the separate is complete. Lauqerm (talk) 13:32, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

A English to No-English STO Problem..[]

Hello i work now since Sept. 2016 on translation of the STO-Wiki into German. There is a little Problem in Adressplacements. if i have created the Page Mission into de, eg.[[Mission/de]], now the english mission-details lays into [[Mission: A MISSION NAME]]. Must i now create: [[Mission: A ENGLISH MISSION NAME/de]] or can i lay the translation into [[Mission/de: GERMAN MISSION NAME]]? Thanks for answers.. Your --Thironix (talk) 12:04, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

It would be [[Mission: A ENGLISH MISSION NAME/de]] ^_^ -Xbony2, TriMaster (talk) 12:07, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Nice, so, now?[]

I do mi own translation so, How can I access at all possible translations from the original page? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Clefita (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Basically type the page name in the search bar and then a / -Xbony2 (talk) 22:27, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Why[]

Why have the title as page/lang? That just messed up search and makes maintenance impossible. What about having Project:language translation/page? Nixinova (talk) 00:18, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

For instance, you can use Special:Prefixindex to list.all subpages using my proposal but with what is currently in place it's impossible to find pages. Nixinova (talk) 00:20, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
