Snap Saturday: Red Dead Redemption

Welcome to Snap Saturday, GTANet’s ode to the virtual photography community who continue to capture some amazingly creative shots across GTA and Red Dead.

John Marston – a man that went from mindless gunslinger, to a honest man who was trying to make up for mistakes and absence, to give Jack and Abigail the life they deserved despite adversity.
After Arthur Morgan’s death (but not before a period of turmoil where perhaps his old ways were taking over again), he moved on to have a proper family house in Beecher’s Hope in an attempt to finally live a normal life, but this didn’t stop the Bureau of Investigation agents from finding and kidnapping him; in search of information on former associates, including Dutch van der Linde, who ended up finding out that perhaps gravity is stronger than hubris.

Fourteen years ago, Red Dead Redemption released, a game that to this day is considered one of Rockstar’s best designed and best written, following John Marston’s life post the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 (well, technically).

A re-release on modern PlayStation consoles and the Nintendo Switch, alongside a rumoured potentially upcoming PC port, have reactivated many of the community’s screenshot buttons and this week, we celebrate 14 years of Red Dead Redemption all via your lenses, in a game that has stood the test of time in many ways.

Enjoy! 🤠
