The Banking Stakeholder Group (BSG) of the European Banking Authority (EBA) has held its first meeting in its new composition: https://lnkd.in/dtu3msgp One of the 30 newly selected BSG members is Riina Salpakari, Head of Public Affairs at Nordea Finland. A seat in the BSG is highly coveted and offers the possibility to significantly contribute to upcoming banking regulation and to hear the perspectives of other banks and associations, consumer representatives, and top academics. Only a handful of European banking groups are directly represented in the BSG. Riina’s BSG membership enables her to offer a Nordic perspective to the EBA work and to highlight the need for regulation that fits cross-border business models. Part of our corporate citizenship is that our staff’s expertise enables financial regulation that fits banks, their customers, and the society as a whole. It is great to see that expertise and perspectives gained while working for Nordea is valued by regulators. Congratulations, Riina!
