Rimmon

Rimmon (rĭmˈən), in the Bible. 1 Syrian god. 2 Father of the murderers of Ish-bosheth. 3 Rock, E of Bethel. There the remnants of the Benjamites took refuge after the battle of Gibeah. 4 See En-rimmon. 5 Levitical town, N ancient Palestine, the modern Rummana, Israel, N of Nazareth. It is also called Remmon-methoar and Dimnah.

The story has it that the pair were rivals for the affections of a water nymph called Rimmon, who came from Chew Brook in the valley.
In fact, when the Bible actually refers to a geographic feature related to Megiddo, it is not a mountain but a valley: "On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo" (Zechariah 12:11).
Shlomith Rimmon describes texts where every bit of information points back at the narrator as stories about stories ("A Comprehensive Theory of Narrative" 52).
Scourby complains, going to seek sanctuary from the Catholic Church, that 'It's like seeking refuge in the House of Rimmon.' (20) This could be a reference to the Temple of Rimmon (2 Kings 5:18); but in context, it makes much more sense as a reference to Kipling's poem 'Rimmon', presumably unknown to Saul, which refers to the House rather than Temple of Rimmon.
