𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! Santiago Ferrer Founder of 3Dock Based in Hamburg, 3Dock develops a business model innovation that replaces the need to purchase 3D printers through an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model. Unlike traditional services, this system offers a permanent solution for ongoing needs. The model was created to eliminate the most common entry barriers to industrial 3D printing, ensuring that any innovative team or company, regardless of their budget and staff resources, can access cutting-edge technologies and accelerate their projects. With just a click, the scalable solution offers professional results and high-quality materials, complemented by unparalleled delivery times. Predictable flat rates remove the burden of unexpected costs, allowing customers to concentrate on innovation. When companies develop products, they need prototyping in large quantities and on a frequent basis. Moreover, access to a good 3D printing infrastructure, operated professionally, even allows for the serial production of functional parts. Founder & CEO Santiago Ferrer notes, "Personnel costs for operation and maintenance, adjusted for low success rates, are the elephant in the room for 3D printing." The goal is to achieve sustainable market penetration in several industry verticals, transforming how businesses approach manufacturing and prototyping. #Hamburg #InnovatorOfTheMonth #3DPrinting

𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁! 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 "Swiftquakes?!" Don't worry, these are not real earthquakes! On July 23 and 24, Taylor Swift will perform at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion. Those unable to attend can watch a livestream of the seismic waves generated by the concerts, thanks to the “WAVE” network in Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld. “WAVE” is a seismic and geo-acoustic measurement network featuring 19 kilometres of fiber optic cables, equivalent to 19,000 sensors, allowing for high-density ground motion data recording over large distances. Researchers from the network will provide livestreams of the seismic signals from the concerts. Prof. Dr. Celine Hadziioannou from the University of Hamburg highlights that, while geophysicists have measured concert-induced seismic waves before, the resolution of Science City’s network is unparalleled. The “PETRA III” accelerator,  European XFEL X-ray laser, and other Bahrenfeld campus and DESY components are also utilized as measurement stations. The innovative infrastructure supports geophysics, physics, and large research facilities. Future uses include monitoring underground changes, such as groundwater levels and subsurface temperatures, and experiments in gravitational wave detection under the University of Hamburg’s “Quantum Universe” cluster. The livestreams, starting at 6 PM on concert days, are free and require no registration. More information is available on the “WAVE” website: https://wave-hamburg.eu/ #ScienceCityHamburg #FeelTheBeat #SeismicScience #TaylorSwift #WAVENetwork

𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴: 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 The transformation to a sustainable economy is both a challenge and an opportunity – and its foundation is a clean, secure, and affordable energy supply. That is why Hamburg is driving the development of a competitive green hydrogen economy forward.  Together with strong partners from industry, science, and politics such as Luxcara, Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH, Gasnetz Hamburg GmbH, HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG, Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), Air Products, Airbus, ZAL Center of Applied Aeronautical Research, ArcelorMittal, Linde, Mabanaft,  Erneuerbare Energien Hamburg (EEHH), and hySOLUTIONS GmbH,  Hamburg is building a hydrogen network of short distances. The aim is to decarbonise the port, industry, logistics, and aviation sectors as well as to modernise local infrastructure. A multitude of projects, initiatives, startups, and collaborations with stakeholders from the entire value chain are currently underway, with additional ones in the planning stage. To address the shortage of green hydrogen, efforts at the moment are focused on increasing production and import capacities. The Port of Hamburg serves as a key player and the central hub. With its efficient logistics infrastructure and status as Northern Europe's largest industrial area, it offers prime facilities for importing, storing, and distributing hydrogen. Enhanced by digitalisation, the port connects transnational waterways, roads, railways, and energy grids, making it an optimal location within the European network.  Would you like to learn more about Hamburg as a leading European hub for green hydrogen? 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴'𝘀 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺! Hamburg's hydrogen ecosystem has received a substantial boost with over 250 million euros in funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Yesterday, Federal Minister Robert Habeck presented the funding notices to two major hydrogen projects in Hamburg: 👉 Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH): This project is a collaboration between Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH (HEnW) and its partner Luxcara. They are set to build a 100 MW electrolyzer for green hydrogen at the site of the former Moorburg coal power plant. 👉 Hamburg Hydrogen Industry Network (HH-WIN): Managed by the municipal network operator Gasnetz Hamburg GmbH, this project involves the construction of the first 40 kilometres of the hydrogen distribution network. These projects are part of the Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) framework, highlighting their significance not just for Hamburg but also for broader European energy and climate goals.
