In the past months six exciting new faces have joined the Channel Pilot Pro development team. Find out who they are in our short interviews:
Vishnu
Where are you from/where did you live before?
I am from India. So, used to live there (city called Hyderabad). Before joining Channel Pilot Pro, I lived here in Hamburg (meine Perle 😝).
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
I completed my bachelors in India in IT and worked there for several years as a Software Engineer. Then I moved to Germany to pursue my masters in IT Engineering. (such a stereotypical Indian I am, haha 😉 )
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Team, team, and team. Their availability made the job easy and I felt welcomed even though I have joined in COVID times and started as a work from home employee. Kudos to them. Another major plus point is the work life balance of the company.
Which fictional character would you like to be?
Harold Finch (from Person of Interest)
Which song makes you dance?
Trust me, that’s the hardest question for me to answer as I love to dance. These days I am moving my feet to EDM and Techno but if I must choose from my all-time favorite list, I would say “Beat It” by Michael Jackson, “Rocksteady” by Aretha Franklin and “Everybody” by Backstreet Boys.

Where are you from/where did you live before?
I was born in Ayvalik, a seaside town on the Aegean cost of Turkey, and then moved to the most crowded city, Istanbul, for college and had lived there for 9 years. In 2019 my husband and I decided to move to Hamburg, and we are here since then!
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
As a Software Engineer, I have been working in different sectors. First, I started my career in telecommunications, worked with different telecom operators like O2, Deutsche Telekom.
And after 3 years I jumped into the gaming sector and experienced working with the real gamers. Now, I am learning about the world of e-commerce with the CP family 😊
What do you enjoy most about your job?
My favorite part in my job is the challenges. As a puzzle-lover, I like solving problems (let’s say bugs here 😃 ) and building proper systems. And seeing them working like a charm is what I enjoy the most!

Where are you from/where did you live before?
Basically I have lived in Ukraine for as long as I can remember 😁
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
I worked in an outsourcing company located in Kiev but unfortunately due to the pandemic they decided to reduce the number of employees and I was forced to change the company. That was a sad moment 😞 , but right now everything is cool😁
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I think doing something meaningful – and of course code writing is a very important part for me. I like to deep dive into technical stuff and learn how it works under the hood. 😁 Makes the customer happy and me too👍

Super Man or Super Smart Hero
Which song makes you dance?
Rock and roll 🤘, good classic rock of the 60s, 70s, 80s even 90s & some electronic music is also cool.

Where are you from/where did you live before?
I’m from Adana which is famous for being the hottest and the most sunny city of Turkey. But I lived in Istanbul for many years.
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
I worked for several start-ups around the globe as a freelancer and/or remote team member. Last I was working for a company based in Berlin which aims to improve e-mail productivity.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being part of something new/exciting and creating values on our new tool’s technologies.

Where are you from/where did you live before?
Wedel in Schleswig-Holstein
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
I worked as a Full-Stack Developer for an IT service provider.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
To answer this question, I like to use a quote from the book The Mythical Man-Month by Fred Brooks:
“First is the sheer joy of making things. As the child delights in his mud pie, so the adult enjoys building things, especially things of his own design.
Second is the pleasure of making things that are useful to other people. Deep within, we want others to use our work and to find it helpful. In this respect the programming system is not essentially different from the child’s first clay pencil holder “for Daddy’s office.”

Where are you from/where did you live before?
I never lived outside of Ukraine.
What did you do before Channel Pilot?
I have worked in a few companies before, working on different projects, among which I have contributed to Apache Drill open source project.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy finding solutions for problems which arise during the implementation of tasks and writing code which is appealing to me (and I hope to everyone else!) and maintainable.
Which fictional character would you like to be?
I can’t think of anyone I would like to be but I do like Eddard Stark (from A Song of Ice and Fire).
