Water in the desert is often hidden, increasingly scarce, but always vital. Where it springs to the surface, it provides respite and beauty. Out of sight, its deep aquifers sustain our ranches, towns, and all who live in this desert we call home. As drought deepens, cities spread, and pumping increases, the pressure on this most precious desert resource only grows. We are gathering experts, landowners, community members, scientists, and policy makers. Everyone interested in water in the desert is invited to listen, converse, and learn together.

  • Hear from legislative leaders—we’ve invited influential members of the Texas House and Senate to share insights on water policy, funding opportunities, and water innovation in the desert
  • Listen to landowner perspectives in a discussion moderated by Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Director and Chairman of the Natural Resources/Wildlife Subcommittee, James Oliver
  • Engage with key members of local groundwater conservation districts
  • Meet the new Executive Director of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, David Yoskowitz
  • Learn about the benefits of well-informed land stewardship
  • Be inspired by stories of impactful on-the ground projects
  • Enjoy plenty of networking—we have some exciting social events in the works
