Unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your network connection

★★ Novice

"Unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your network connection, or try again later. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information."

I have this issue when trying to use Madden online with my Ps5 disc edition. I am signed into my PSN & connected to the internet on my ps5 via my home wifi fine however, I am unable to sign into the ea server.

I have tried using my hotspot on my iphone and this seems to work but it is nearly impossible to play due to the lagging.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi @rowdes

When you have a moment can we try the following?

  • Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
  • Verify you signed into your PSN account
  • Check for updates
  • Restore Licence
  • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
  • Open your PS5 NAT Type
  • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
  • Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database

Did you fix it? How? I can’t login into any ea games online. But it recognizes my gamer tag

@EA_Illium none of this works, you could get a new router and modem, it still wouldn’t work. It’s not a network connect error on the users end, EA just sucks, horribly. I vote to boycott EA and bankrupt them.

Trying to play Apex Legends and says same exact thing 'unable to connect to EA servers' when I try on my son's switch via Wi-Fi and on PS4 via moca network connection....BUT it works on my PS5 which is connected directly to router....EA, any thoughts?

What's EA Play?

New name, new look, same great benefits: EA Access and Origin Access are now EA Play.
