turns out the issue was with my ea account (friends list in the ea app not loading) and i had to contact someone from ea help to get them to fix it on their end, the issue isnt with the players connection

when contacting ea help make sure you use the chat option and not the email option, the emails are absolutely useless and every day someone new was emailing me with the same tips that i had already gone through

in the chat with ea help i told tell them that i found a thread from 2021 about the ea app not loading users friends list where the solution was to have an ea employee fix something on their end, they ran me through some basic tips regarding changing dns, using a mobile hotspot, port forwarding, etc. these tips didnt help because the issue wasnt with my connection, there was something wrong with my ea account, someone on ea's side fixed whatever was wrong, i dont know what specifically was wrong but this issue has been happening to people since 2021

I got this code recently, after reading this thread, I logged onto the EA website using my phone and it corrected the problem

Got a new computer and went to try out BF2042 and keep getting this error. I have EA Play and Xbox Ultimate Game Pass and they are linked. However, I bought BF2042 and the key code was for Origin.

I have tried using both my EA Play account (Gmail) and Xbox account. I have repaired game files, I have cleared cache, uninstalled/reinstalled, and I have unlinked my Xbox account from EA Play and still having this issue.

I contacted EA Support which was a joke. The guy basically gave me links to click on and follow the instructions. That did nothing. He basically said he would send the information to his team and once they get enough complaints they will get a fix. So, basically, I need to wait for an official patch before this is fixed (if it even fixes it!).

Anything else I can do or try? Or do I have a broken game? FYI, I never had this issue on my older rig (It's been 1 weeks since I've upgraded).

I am also having this problem. I bought Battlefield 2042 and I cant even play it, super frustrating. Luckily I got the game on sale so its only a waste of $10.
