And now, a giant dump of Bloomburrow. First off, a sampling of some of the new mechanics of the set.
To help things run smoothly in draft, here's an entire common hybrid cycle.
Here's the non-common critter dump.
Our next Calamity Beast is the one non-destructive one.
And our last promo card is the 2-mana Murder we were promised.
Next up, Courageous Critters. There will be 20 exclusive to Collector Boosters, and 4 in the precons. It's not just planeswalkers, after all. Oh, and normal Chatterfang is in the Squirrel precon, because of course it is.
Throwing in these last three, and that's it for previews here.
Season of Loss seems strong, but suffers from a weird tension in that it makes a great board wipe, but also wants you to have a bunch of creatures in your deck.
I think the blue one is stronger, but that black season will be particularly good when you decide to trade off creature in a big attack. The red one looks good too in the type of deck that wants to run it. That can be a lot of mana or cards and nice combo of both. The problem with these exile effects is that you're telegraphing to your opponent what to expect.
I'm mad about Fell. We've always had drawbacks for this effect at this cost, and nobody has ever complained about it. Why power creep something like that? The fun bit is the side-grade between all the different variants, and now there's this that just completely eclipses them all for no reason. Blatantly bad game design if you ask me. EDIT: Thanks for pointing out I missed Fell is a sorcery! I was to jumping conclusions.
But the aesthetics and mechanics of the set are all very nice, and I love a lot of the art.

You noticed that it's a sorcery, right? It's not a strictly better Murder.
