How to draw Minty The Garden Dragon! by The-SixthLeafClover, journal
How to draw Minty The Garden Dragon!
The theme for this month is Garden Dragons! 🌱
For this tutorial I will be featuring Minty The Mint Dragon as one of my favorite Garden Dragons to draw!
Follow the steps and create your own artwork! Post your drawing on DeviantArt with the tag #GardenDragonTutorial and get a Profile badge!
I mainly sketch my work in Painter SAI2. A lot of my color work is done in Corel Painter using the "Mona Lisa" brush.
:bulletgreen: What is a Garden Dragon?
A garden dragon is a plant-like dragon that lives in a garden pot. I originally called them "Bonsai Dragons." I have evolved them since the first creation of Bonsai Dragon and have made several different variations of them like Minty Dragon.
:bulletgreen: Why this art style?
I love to read and make comics of my own and have developed this cute art style to fit my very own comic that I run called Lucky Dragon and Friends. I post this comic regularly here on DeviantArt as well as on WebToon. Some of the recent episodes of my comic

A Beginners Guide to Customizing Your Profile
Learn easy ways to customize your profile!
Do you want to customize your profile on DeviantArt? Whether you’re trying to personalize your space for the first time or have been decorating your profile for years, here are some tips and tricks to make your profile feel like home.
Theme Is Everything
To start personalizing your Profile, first come up with an idea for the overall vibe you want it to have. This can range from simply selecting a color palette based on colors you like (or artwork in your Gallery) to deciding what backgrounds you want to use to add interesting elements to your Profile. Go with whatever suits your vision!
How to Customize
Add a Cover Image
Adding a Profile cover image is a great starting point for all deviants, and it’s easy to do!
When creating a cover image for your Profile, the recommended dimensions are 1600 pixels by 800 pixels and 1920x1080 resolution at minimum, so the image fits well and appears clearly for all viewers.

These tags are just suggestions, and you can keep or delete the tags at any time based on your preferences.
You can also use the Studio to apply tags to all of your future uploads by default! To do so, go to the Studio, select Presets, and then add the tags you want.

Celebrating Deviousness - July 2024
The Deviousness Award is given to one deviant each month in recognition of their exemplary contributions to DeviantArt and its community and has been a long-standing tradition since DeviantArt’s early years. @Doosio is the recipient of July 2024’s Deviousness Award, so please join us in congratulating her!
@Doosio has quietly been contributing to DeviantArt in many ways for many years, particularly among the pixel art and fan art communities, and she's a positive force that always works to bring deviants together.
