The atmosphere in Limbo is incredible. It's quite short; 3- 5 hours maybe, but it doesn't really matter. Too long would ruin the effect.
Style-wise, it's simple and beautiful. It feels creepy (that silhouette looks oddly like a child...) and the puzzles are challenging, but won't make you want to kill someone. I've recommended it to a lot of friends, and they're all loved it.
I ended up buying this twice- first though steam, then this special edition, because it looks so pretty, and honestly I mainly just wanted the sticker.
Only mild complaint is I expected more to be in there. I don't know why. Maybe because I felt the 3D glasses were just, well, 3D glasses, and so the only difference between this and the Steam version is the sticker and art cards. Which are cool! But didn't QUITE feel like enough to justify buying it twice. Oh well, I just like owning things. And this is a pretty neat thing to own.

If you are looking at this you probably already own Limbo like me. I am someone who likes a physical copy of something special, mainly CD's. But Limbo with out of a doubt is one of the best games I have ever played. I put it up there with sonic on the genesis (megadrive) and a few others. If you enjoyed Sonic as a child you will enjoy this as an adult. An atmospheric platformer which makes you think. There isn't a single area which I can fault. I bought this for Martin Stig Anderson's soundtrack which is worth more than the price. You want something which has a nostalgic feel in the present day which sucks you in? BUY LIMBO!

Limbo is a great puzzle game. The art-style may be fairly simple, however make no mistake that this means the gameplay is equally simple. In fact, the art-style is a component of the gameplay. The bleak, dim darkness that is the environment of which you play in, hides various objectives and surprises than can often lead you to your own demise. Whilst playing, you tread with much trepidation to progress through the many challenges that await you.

The soundtrack in the game, and included on the CD of this special edition version, is equally atmospheric and adds to the tension of the game. Highly recommended.

I found this game several years after it came out. While late - it's better than never because it's a great game. The graphics suite the game well, and help create a very encompassing environment and mood.

The 3D effect is great!

Interestingly, typing SHIFT + 3 + D on any version of the game will shift to 3D mode, (and SHIFT + 2 + D will exit 3D mode),
I found I sometimes had to type it more than once to toggle the effect.
So if you have the 3D glasses (red and cyan) - you can enjoy 3D without needing to buy the collectors edition.

Though for collectors of games and their packaging, it's a nice unit... The box, some cards with artwork on them, a sticker of the hero's head, the 3D glasses, and a CD.

The game itself is ok. Was bought out of curiosity. The 3D doesn't work - in fact it's rubbish. Looking at reviews on You Tube there was sound effects at least, however I get complete silence. Is this really how it's meant to be?

This game is very pretty and the gameplay is interesting at points but it is far too short, I know the length of a game shouldn't really be a factor in how enjoyable it is but I personally enjoy a longer game (8 plus hours) and that's just my opinion. So if you want to play a pretty game that'll take a little under two hours to finish then Limbo's the game for you.

I've got the game on XBLA and loved it, who cares if it's a bit short. Quality not quantity.

The contents are good, not the best. The 3D glasses are a bit cheap but the sticker is good although it has no stroke so if your sticking it on something black you won't notice it. The art cards are nice and all but I really love the box, don't know why.
You do get a steam key which is nice but I dunno. It's not the best special edition in the world. More could have been done.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tutto praticamente ottimo.

Gleich beim auspacken sieht man was Sache ist - rote Markierung, ab 18.

5.0 out of 5 stars Collectionnite satisfaite !

5.0 out of 5 stars Gran juego de plataformas-"puzzles"
Reviewed in Spain on 19 October 2012
