Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment got the message. After Fallout: New Vegas forums, gaming sites, and You Tube blew up yesterday with news that the game launched with a bevy of (often hilarious) bugs, the devs have already released the first PC patch, and more are on the way.

On the Bethesda Blog, the devs stated that the first patch for the PC, an automatic update, will resolve numerous quest and scripting issues -- say goodbye to Doc's head-spinning demons.

"We're also working hard to make this update available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game as soon as possible, and will let you know as soon as we have the dates they'll be up," Bethesda stated.

The studio also reports that the reported downloadable bonuses problem for PlayStation 3 pre-orders have been resolved. Simply re-enter the bonus code, and it should work. If the error continues, Bethesda recommends waiting 24 hours before trying the code again.

Sharkey says: On my journey through New Vegas, I keep encountering enemies who take cover behind thin air. I pump a few rounds in a baddie, he turns and flees, stops, turns around and ducks as if he's behind the safety of a boulder. Only, he's squatting in the middle of the open desert and not returning fire as I riddle him with bullets. Sigh. The bugs are annoying, but I'm still enjoying the game. Are you?
