Over the past two years, we've had the privilege of taking their brand and vision, transforming it into a dynamic digital experience that reflects the excitement and innovation of the developing gaming industry.

A Year of Evolution

Last year marked our first year of partnership with Summer Games Fest, where we took on the challenge of revamping their website to better align with their vibrant and innovative spirit. Hosted on Webflow, the new site embraced a palette of blues and purples with playful bubble motifs, capturing the event's dynamic nature and its pioneering digital approach—an essential adaptation during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. We created micro animations and brought digital elements to life in a way that has become an extension of the brands characteristics.

As Summer Games Fest gears up for its fifth instalment, we’ve been tasked with unveiling the dawn of this year's festival. Geoff Keighley re-engaged Psychoactive Studios to evolve the website's aesthetic, aligning it with this year's bold new branding. The festival's 2024 theme bursts with reds, yellows, and oranges, symbolising the full vibrancy of summer. This energetic colour palette, paired with dynamic, lava lamp-like blobs, have been stitched between the website’s layered design.

Our goal for Summer Games Fest 2024 is to transcend last year's achievements by creating a website that not only informs but excites. This year’s site features:

• Immersive Interactivity: New interactive elements will enhance user engagement, blending directory functionalities with captivating digital experiences.
• Dynamic Animations: A stunning pre-loader will transition users into an immersive digital world. The hero animation on the main page will guide visitors through a visually rich journey, complemented by strategically placed animations that elevate the user experience.
• Seamless Integration of Brand Assets: Vibrant colour transitions and anamorphic abstract assets will be meticulously integrated into the design, ensuring the website resonates with the updated brand persona.
• User-Friendly Interface: Despite the visual sophistication, the site will remain lightweight and intuitive, providing a remarkable user experience.
